AP Chemistry is a tough course and taking it in an asynchronous online environment is even more so. I designed, and taught, this course to give students who did not have access to AP science courses in their home schools. The course was built in a format that aligned with College Board materials to give students a seamless connection to AP Classroom resources. Each topic in the AP curriculum was supported with a slide deck, videos, and supporting resources. It was also important to include online laboratory activities that were engaging and provided students with an experience that allowed them to better understand chemical processes and concepts. The Pivot Interactives platform provided this and activities were revised to meet the needs of my students. Feedback was provided on assignments and office hours provided in the evening hours.
